The ‘I am Learning Games’!

Only a few days now until ‘The I am Learning Games’ are underway! The ‘Games’ features many exciting new things. Here are just a few of them:
  • 10 new sports games! These games range from Diving to Rowing, Trampolining to Weightlifting. The best part is they’re all free! You won’t need any credits to unlock them!
  • New Iamable outfits! In some of the games, codes are hidden to unlock sports kits! Can you find them all?
  • Medals for our Iamable! At the end of the event, the people at 1st, 2nd and 3rd on each game will receive a gold, silver or bronze medal for their Iamable that they can keep forever!
  • REAL WORLD PRIZES! Take part for your chance to win things like Tablet PCs!
  • A new area to explore! For the first time ever, leave your room and visit the ‘I am Learning Games Village’. Here you’ll find stadiums, gyms and more. This is where you’ll access the new games.

We’re really excited about the games here, and hopefully you will be too!

New overall leaderboards

As you may have noticed, Daniel C from Balby Carr has been ‘Player of the Week’ for a long time now! This is because overall, he has the best results across all the games. 

Now you can see if you place in the overall top 10! Just head to the Champions League section in I am Learning and select ‘Overall Leaders’ from the drop-down list. 

Are you one of the best gamers of all time? If not, don’t worry! If you place 1st on any game globally, you’ll get 100 points, second place will get you 60 points and third will give you 25. Keep trying and maybe you’ll reach the top!

Christmas Winners!

Congratulations to Damian M from Queen Elizabeth’s school! 

Damian was (and still is) number one on the global leaderboard for ‘It’s a Wrap’. This means he wins our Christmas competition, and so now has an extra 1000 I am Learning credits!

We had nearly 5000 people play the game over the festive period, which is really great! We’ve been so impressed by everyone’s effort over the course of the competition that we’ve decided to award 200 points to Olivia C and Amondeep K, who were second and third on the leaderboard. 

Good work everyone, and keep checking here for information on more competitions, unlock codes and new games!

Watersports was the last game of 2011, rounding off a year full of action games, puzzle games, racing and more! Keep your eyes open in 2012, we’ve got loads more in development including more sports in the run up to the 2012 Olympics, more catagories (such as board game) and even some amazing multiplayer games! Christmas Competition

We do hope you’re all enjoying the holiday season! Remember, today is the last day to try and win 1000 I am Learning credits! Tomorrow, whoever is top of the global leaderboard on the ‘It’s a Wrap’ game will be the winner, so get playing! Don’t forget that anyone who revises tomorrow (Christmas Day) will receive triple credits! Have fun!

Trophies

We’ve had lots of people asking what games you can get trophies in, so here’s a list! This also tells you what you’ll need for a bronze. To get silver or gold you’ll have to do even better!

Penalty Shootout – A total of 200 goals or more
Bowling – 200 or more in one game.
Fitness Freaks – 55 or more over the four exercises.
Cupidity – At least 180 in one game.
Grand Prix Racing – (Less than) 190 seconds after all four races
Quack Shot – 4000 in one game
Whack a Monkey – 25000 in one game
Lock, Stock and Cabbage – 30000 in one game
SpellCaster – More than 90000 XP in total

 Trophies can be displayed on your windowsill in the I am Learning room. Why not check and see if you’ve got any yet?

How to unlock new games

In order to make your I am Learning experience easier, here’s part two of our ‘How To’ guides. This time: Unlocking games!

Here is the Game Chooser screen. The games on the left (A) are the ones you’ve currently unlocked. A game with a padlock icon (B) means it is locked. The amount of credits you have are displayed on the right (C). A game costs 200 credits to unlock.

A game that says ‘COMING SOON’ is currently unavailable. Keep checking back, new games are being added all the time!

 If you click on a locked game, this screen will appear. You will be shown a breif description of the game and a screenshot. If it looks like a game that appeals to you, and you have enough credits to unlock it, click the 
‘UNLOCK GAME’ button.

The game will then be added to your unlocked collection. You can play it right away by simply clicking on it’s icon on the left. That’s it. Have fun!

How to unlock items

We’ve had many people asking how to enter the unlock codes, so here’s a quick guide to make it easy! Finding the codes, well, that might be a little more difficult!
 
You will need to be in your I am Learning room.
 —
A key pad will pop up. Click on each number to cycle through 1 – 9. 
 —
Keep clicking until the numbers match the code you have. Then click the padlock icon.
 —
 If the code is correct, the drawer will open. By clicking on the note, it will tell you what your reward is.
