New Poll!

Thanks to everyone who took part in last month’s poll. We asked whether you’d like more avatar outfits, more wallpapers or more games, and over half of you wanted more avatar parts, so that’s what’s going to happen!

If you’ve got any suggestions of what you want to see, just leave a comment below, and if we like it, we’ll add it into the system!

We’re also working on a new layout for the avatar creation screen, and more games featuring the avatar!

Meanwhile, why not take part in out new poll. We need to know what types of games you want to see in 2012, so choose one from the list on the left, or suggest your own!

Christmas Winners!

Congratulations to Damian M from Queen Elizabeth’s school! 

Damian was (and still is) number one on the global leaderboard for ‘It’s a Wrap’. This means he wins our Christmas competition, and so now has an extra 1000 I am Learning credits!

We had nearly 5000 people play the game over the festive period, which is really great! We’ve been so impressed by everyone’s effort over the course of the competition that we’ve decided to award 200 points to Olivia C and Amondeep K, who were second and third on the leaderboard.

Watersports was the last game of 2011, rounding off a year full of action games, puzzle games, racing and more! Keep your eyes open in 2012, we’ve got loads more in development including more sports in the run up to the 2012 Olympics, more catagories (such as board game) and even some amazing multiplayer games! We thought that by now, you’re definitely feeling the chill of winter, so why not escape to tropical islands in our latest game, ‘Watersports’! Head to Hawaii, rush around Russia and floor it in Florida! Race nippy jet-skis, drift in hovercrafts and zip accross the oceans in super-fast speedboats!

We’ve had lots of people asking what games you can get trophies in, so here’s a list! This also tells you what you’ll need for a bronze. To get silver or gold you’ll have to do even better!

Penalty Shootout – A total of 200 goals or more
Bowling – 200 or more in one game.
Fitness Freaks – 55 or more over the four exercises.
Cupidity – At least 180 in one game.
Grand Prix Racing – (Less than) 190 seconds after all four races
Quack Shot – 4000 in one game
Whack a Monkey – 25000 in one game
Lock, Stock and Cabbage – 30000 in one game
SpellCaster – More than 90000 XP in total

 Trophies can be displayed on your windowsill in the I am Learning room. Why not check and see if you’ve got any yet?

Community Unlocks Update

It’s great to see so many people have been playing the Quick Quests series! For those who haven’t yet, Quick Quests is a game show like no other! Take part in themed mini-games set in a variety of places, from Outer Space to Prehistoric times. Plus if you do well enough, you unlock exclusive avatar outfits!
 A while back, we decided to offer these outfits to everyone… So long as 500 people unlocked them first! So far more than 300 have been unlocked, so there’s still a way to go!
 So if you want to unlock cowboy gear, T-Rex costumes, robot masks, Pharaoh robes and more, head to I am Learning now and get playing any of the Quick Quest games, found in the ‘Game Show’ category!

Christmas Competition!

Have you played our newest game, ‘It’s a Wrap’ yet? For the very first time, take control of your avatar and lend a hand at Santa’s toy factory! The elves are throwing toys at you, and it’s your job to wrap them! Be careful not to drop them though or it’ll cost you!


To celebrate the festivities, we’re launching a Christmas competition! To be in with a chance of winning 1000 extra I am Learning credits simply play ‘It’s a Wrap’ between now and Christmas. Whoever is on the top of the IAL Champion’s League leaderboard at midnight on Christmas day wins the 1000 credits! 

Also, as a bonus to anyone revising on Christmas Day, any credits earned will be tripled! That means a potential of 225 points per exercise!

So what are you waiting for? Get playing now!

How to unlock new games

In order to make your I am Learning experience easier, here’s part two of our ‘How To’ guides. This time: Unlocking games!

Here is the Game Chooser screen. The games on the left (A) are the ones you’ve currently unlocked. A game with a padlock icon (B) means it is locked. The amount of credits you have are displayed on the right (C). A game costs 200 credits to unlock.

A game that says ‘COMING SOON’ is currently unavailable. Keep checking back, new games are being added all the time!

 If you click on a locked game, this screen will appear. You will be shown a breif description of the game and a screenshot. If it looks like a game that appeals to you, and you have enough credits to unlock it, click the 
‘UNLOCK GAME’ button.

The game will then be added to your unlocked collection. You can play it right away by simply clicking on it’s icon on the left. That’s it. Have fun!
