The end of The Games!

Well that’s it. Nearly 200,000 people competed across 10 events. You guys logged an incredible 8 whole years worth of revision over the month, so well done!

A huge congratulations to those of you who won the medals. Have you checked out our closing ceremony yet? You can find it by clicking on the window in your room and following the link.

An even bigger congratulations has to go to Ross L, Adam A and Craig W. These guys were our overall winners of the Games and each get to pick a prize!
In other news, it’s the Jubilee weekend and we thought we’d celebrate. There will be bunting and all sorts, as well as a new outfits for your Iamable!

The IAL Games!

Well, the Games are nearly finished! You’ve still got about 30 hours to compete. Are you in with a chance of winning a medal, or even a PS3, 360 or tablet PC? The competition has been fierce, and it still could go to anyone. Could you shave 0.1 seconds off your 100 metre sprint? Lift an extra 10kg? Jump just one more metre? 
170,000 people have tried, only 30 will get a medal!

Also, keep your eyes peeled after the Games end. We’ve got a closing ceremony planned, where you’ll be able to watch the victors be rewarded!

Don’t forget, just because the Games have ended, that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to compete. You will be able to access sprinting, hurdling, javelin and the rest in the sports category as normal!

Sneak Preview!

What do you think of our new look Iamables? 

We’re completely redesigning them! We hope to make them look even better, with more detail and more items. Also, we heard you wanted a shop? Well we listened, and we’re currently working on a HUGE shop where you’ll be able to browse hundreds of outfits to make your Iamable truly unique! 

 We also know that you guys have been requesting more female items, from dresses to tiaras, from new hair to new shoes. Well we promise these are coming too!

These changes are just one of the things we’re going to be working on over the summer, so next year, your I am Learning experience will be even better! We’re also going to be looking at improving the room, adding achievements and games related rewards and, of course, lots of really great games!

There is just over a week left in the IAL Games. Are you in the running to get a medal? Here’s a sneak preview of how the medals will look. Remember, place in the top three OVERALL in any game, and your Iamable will automatically be given the corresponding medal! If you are on top of more than one leader boards, you’ll get more than one medal!

Have you played Rowing yet? It’s part of the IAL Games, but it’s our least played game. That means if you’re looking to get a medal, it might be an easier way to go! You can find it by clicking on the lake in the IAL Games village, or just find it in the Sports category.

Pro Racing Team

We know that many of you take the Champions League very seriously. Getting high scores to show off to your friends is a massive part of I am Learning, but I reckon no one takes the League as seriously as these guys!


This Pro-Racing team has got everything coordinated, right down to their raised eyebrows! I’m not sure a pinstripe suit is the best uniform for racing, but 1st, 2nd and 3rd? They’re doing something right! Question is, can you beat them?

The IAL Games are in full swing now! We’ve had an amazing 53,000 competitors in the past week alone, and more people have been using the system than ever before! There’s still opportunity to grab the gold on the events and win yourselves some great prizes like games consoles and more!

Unfortunately, we have had some instances of people cheating. Anyone who we find to have been cheating will have their scores removed. The I am Learning Games Committee view cheating very seriously, and it will not be tolerated

Prizes to be won!

Thousands of people have been playing our new Sports Games, and we’ve had loads of positive comments about the Games in general. We’re happy to announce the prizes on offer for those people who are on top of the overall leaders at the end of the events. To clarify; the people who are first, second and third on the overall leader boards for the IAL Games will get a choice of prizes.

The top three students at the end of the Games will be able to choose from our great selection of prizes:
1st Place: Sony PlayStation 3, X-Box 360, iPod Touch, Amazon Kindle, a Tablet PC or a PS Vita
2nd Place: Nintendo Wii, Tablet PC, Nintendo 3DS, Kobo VOX or ‘Beats by Dre’ Headphones
3rd Place: Official Olympic Kit, iPod Nano, Apple TV, Video Games (up to a cost of £100) or a Blu-Ray Player

The leading school at the end of the games will win £500 to spend on sports equipment of their choice.

IAL Games Javelin Problems

This is an important announcement from the I am Learning Games Committee. We have investigated our Javelin equipment and found many instances of non-regulation javelins! We were tipped off when several javelins were found to have been thrown 12 miles outside the stadium. Because of this, we have replaced all our javelins with IAL approved, standard equipment. All scores have been reset, but please feel free to try again! Thank you!
